Cultivate a one-of-a-kind wine list, pairing our guests with delicious food and precisely chosen wine. This role will ensure the wine program is represented beyond the level of expectations by increasing guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability and achieving excellence in wine service.
- Support the management team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and vision for the wine program
- Provide leadership and direction in the execution and measurement of guest service standards within wine and beverage operations to ensure continued growth and profitability.
- Maintain the integrity of the wine program through frequent quality checks of opened wines by the glass.
- Maintain complete knowledge of;
- all brands
- particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass
- bottle selections
- designated glassware and garnishes for drinks
- all bar menu items
- preparation method/time, portion sizes, presentation, and prices.
- Assist in training staff members on beverage knowledge and systems relating to the wine.
- Attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars, when available, as part of continuing education to aid in program and personal development.
The starting range for this position is $25.00. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
- Current Food Handler's Card
- RBS Training Required
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
- At least two years of experience in a comparable fine dining environment
- Knowledge of wine, cocktail, and beer menus and the ability to service them accordingly
- Ability to work without direct supervision
