The targeted compensation range for this full time year round, exempt position is $70,000 - $80,000/year. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Collection and is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.


Job Description

Join our team as a Social Sales & Catering Services Manager for Hotel Jerome, serving the needs of the
business, our guests, and our colleagues by planning, organizing, and managing the details for event bookings. Assist the Director of Catering & Events in negotiating all functions space, food & beverage minimums, and all related requirements. Ensuring maximization of rooms and space, revenues, and profits while delivering a quality product. Focusing on execution of event planning including coordination from the signing of a contract forward, VIP needs, amenities, and resume.

  • Responsible for the management and planning of all events and related activities with responsibilities
    including - detailing BEOs, providing accurate cost estimates, drafting event space diagrams, and serving as the primary point of contact on-site.
  • Attends Banquet Event Order (BEO) and staff meetings and performs as a team leader for all hotel
    department staff participating in the event delivery process.
  • Outreach and sales planning to achieve and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Maintain well documented, accurate, organized and up to date file management in order to serve guests and the employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
  • Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system including trace dates and references resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
  • Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate guest communication and the use of
    professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
  • Follow up on all guest needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
  • Focuses on revenue-generating activity and maximizes selling time, maximizing account yield
    opportunities and sales effectiveness.
  • Sell, detail, up-sell and detail the event with the guest including; verification and modification of space
    requirements, audio-visual, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc. Prepare the appropriate resumes and paperwork to ensure quality service.
  • Manage function details and related activities to ensure the event requirements are satisfied. Anticipate and handle guest complaints and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery, customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Oversees all billing details for all events to include processing of deposits, direct bill applications, credit card authorizations and coordination with accounting.
  • Improve the hotel Catering and Event products through; (a) participate in the development of new sales tools and systems, (b) participate in the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of our competition's product, and (c) analysis, understanding, and satisfaction of our customers' needs.
  • Close out all events to include pickup in the sales system (Delphi) and commission owed, including
    processing with accounting.
  • Responsible for all other assignments as defined by the GM, Director of Catering & Events, Director of Food & Beverage, and the Area Director of Sales.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Delphi and Opera
  • Minimum two years experience working in a high volume Catering or Events Department/company
