Job Description

Join our team as an Order Taker and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for answering phones, taking orders for room service requests, preparing services, and coordinating the department's workflow to ensure continuous and timely service for our guests.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests over the phone by name with a polite and welcoming tone. 
  • Take food and beverage orders. Ensure all dietary restrictions and/or allergies are communicated.
  • Record the details of the order from the guest, repeating the order back to the guest to check for accuracy. 
  • Process orders through our POS system. Ensure all dietary restrictions and/or allergies are noted on the ticket and communicated with culinary/servers.  
  • Wipe and sanitize check presenters and pens prior to handing orders to servers.
  • Process cash, credit card, and charge sales for all food and beverage chits. 
  • Prepare arrival amenity reports and organize amenity room drops.
  • Take count of various amenities and place orders with the appropriate departments. 
  • Prepare amenity cards with guest names and room numbers, distribute amenity deliveries amongst all servers. 
  • Coordinate changes for arrival blocks and room moves to assure prompt and accurate delivery of amenities. 
  • Answer phone calls and coordinate requests with the appropriate departments.
  • Organized servers daily duties and ensure all tasks are being completed during shifts. This includes dish pick ups, amenities, and miscellaneous requests/deliveries. 
  • Ring up amenity orders and settle to various payment methods.
  • Run financial reports, cashier reports, and end of day revenue reports. 
  • Prepare the cashier end of shift reports and ensure that your bank is balanced.
  • Office supply inventory, and restocking as needed. Communicate with supervisors on supplies that need to be ordered. 
  • Communicate with the next shift coordinator on tasks that are outstanding and any important information that is necessary.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Advanced English, spoken and written
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Availability to cover different shifts
