The F&B Luxury standards Specialist is responsible for elevating the guest dining experience by coaching and training F&B teams across all restaurants and bars in alignment with Auberge’s AU standards, Five-Star service expectations, and current luxury hospitality trends. This role collaborates closely with outlet leaders, the Wine Manager, and Bars Manager to deliver inspiring, skill-building sessions, and personalized pairing training. The trainer plays a vital role in creating a culture of passion, excellence, storytelling, and continuous learning in every service moment.
Key Responsibilities:
Luxury Service Training
- Design and deliver engaging F&B training programs that reinforce AU service standards (Authentic Connections, Remove Obstacles, Create the Unexpected).
- Train all front-of-house F&B staff in luxury service behaviors, Forbes standards, and storytelling techniques.
- Lead service simulations and roleplays that reflect real-life guest scenarios across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar settings.
Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support
- Work hand-in-hand with Outlet Managers, Chefs de Cuisine, Wine Manager, and Bars Manager to align on training needs and content.
- Support new outlet openings, menu changes, and wine list launches with focused training.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings, tastings, and floor presence during key meal periods to coach in real time & evaluate the impact of service training.
- Coordinate with the Quality Manager to analyze audits, guest feedback, and service trends to define training needs and departmental goals.
- Support onboarding of new team members with an inspiring, operations-based orientation.
Beverage & Pairing Expertise
- Coordinate regular wine and cocktail tastings in partnership with the Wine Manager and Bars Manager.
- Organize with Wine Manager & Bars Manager training on wine, spirits and other beverage training needed to elevate team performance and knowledge.
- Develop pairing guides and storytelling tools that empower servers to upsell with confidence and elegance.
- Train teams on general beverage knowledge, serving etiquette, and how to identify guest preferences.
Quality Assurance & Guest Experience
- Conduct service observations across F&B outlets to ensure consistency in luxury service.
- Support outlet leadership in post-service debriefs and performance evaluations.
- Stay up to date with global luxury dining trends and incorporate them into training content and coaching.
- 6+ years of experience in luxury hospitality in managerial/executive positions, preferably in F&B training, service coaching, or fine dining operations.
- Experience in all F&B operations (restaurants, pool, in room dining,bars,etc.) ● Deep understanding of luxury service principles, Luxury standards, and premium guest engagement techniques.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to inspire teams at all levels. ● Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and pairings; WSET or sommelier certification is a plus.
- Experience working in high-end restaurants, resorts, or private clubs is preferred. ● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
