Join our dynamic team in Patrick County as a Steward / Dishwasher and become an essential part of our kitchen operations. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our culinary team, ensuring a clean and organized environment for food preparation and service.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual and mechanical methods
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and properly disposing of waste
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain smooth operations during peak hours
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment
- Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in their designated areas
- Perform regular cleaning of kitchen appliances, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the kitchen manager
- Minimum of one year experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar kitchen role
- Ability to read and write in English for understanding instructions and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per kitchen needs
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaborative skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
