POSITION SUMMARY
The Host reports directly to the F&B Management team and is responsible for setting the tone for the environment in which the guests are entering and is responsible for conveying our appreciation for the guest’s patronage upon departure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be able to provide a warm, genuine, and comfortable experience for all guests in our restaurants and hotel.
Create positive relationships with guests and local residents.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
Prepare station charts and assign stations in OpenTable to staff following departmental procedures.
Set up host/hostess station with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness at all times including Stage Room and front patio. Report any shortages to management.
Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensure designated amounts are available.
Inspect the restaurant environment and entrance area ensuring that all standards are met, rectify any deficiencies, and maintain cleanliness at all times.
Accurately take, record, and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations according to hotel standards.
Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congeniality in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system and manual system procedures.
Assist with private dining inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
A minimum of one-year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
Preferred
Hospitality Certificate or Degree
Good knowledge of food and wine
This role is compensated $22.66/hr
