The base salary range for this position is $27.00 - $29.70 hourly.
The Kainalu Supervisor will support the Kainalu team in and around the Surf Shack and execute our dynamic Hawaiian sports-based lifestyle program. Create a safe, supportive, and fun work environment for the team. This role encourages individuals to move, reconnect, build strength, and be inspired by the history of Mauna Lani, the Island of Hawaii, and the rest of the Hawaiian islands.
- Manage daily operations of the Kainalu team and Surf Shack
- Conduct daily weather assessments for safety of activities and rentals
- Oversee bookings, scheduling, and group activities
- Ensure product knowledge and manage retail inventory
- Execute dynamic Hawaiian sports-based lifestyle programs
- Maintain safety standards for ocean, beach, and trail experiences
- Participate in manager meetings and support team development
- Manage administrative tasks including schedules, time clock, and tip cards
- Uphold Auberge Resorts Collection's ENRICH values and Mauna Lani Journey standards
- Knowledge of ocean and current conditions in the immediate area of the hotel
- Ability to swim 50 yards and complete a 1K swim
- Ability to run 1 mile in under 10 minutes and complete a 5k run in under 45 minutes
- Ability to complete a 7-mile ride on a 3-speed beach cruiser in less than 60 mins
- Ability to prone Paddleboard 2 miles in less than 45 mins
- Outdoor weather conditions, sometimes humid, wet or hot conditions
Education:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High school degree preferred.
Experience:
Prior guest services, hospitality, fitness, wellness and recreation experience preferred.
Knowledge of fitness: personal trainer, cross-fit style coach, high intensity interval training, performance breathing, canoe, sup, prone paddling, swimming, freediving, surfing, Yoga.
Other:
Must be able to pass and obtain American Red Cross certification in First Aid, AED and CPR.
