Engineering Supervisor, Capital Projects

Are you a jack of all trades, if so, our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and
landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems, including all H.V.A.C & R systems, laundry equipment,
  • kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive
  • repairs.
  • Assume responsibilities of the Area Director of Engineering, and Chief Engineer in their absence.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
  • Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations
  • Follow established safety procedures
  • Log and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logs
  • Duties include emergency on-call status

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or
  • property management environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
  • Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary
  • tools
  • Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary, as directed by the Area Director of
  • Engineering, in conjunction with owner/owner’s representative
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions on the assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as
  • well as follow directions on warning labels
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
  • Technical School certification, preferred.
