Job Description

Our mentors at Chavitos will plan, prepare, and execute comprehensive recreation, educational programs and special events for our children's program. The Kids Adventure Programmer will have overall responsibility for the safety, impeccable organization of children’s programming and related facilities as well as the management and supervision of related staff.

  • Assist the Adventures Program with event and outdoor adventure planning, preparation, tear down / clean up  

  • Providing a fun and safe atmosphere for all children participating in Etéreo activities

  • Maintain a log of children being checked in and out of the program and always ensure proper supervision

  • Direct daily supervision of the entire children’s program and related staff

  • Help coordinate events including scheduling, calendaring and logistics including equipment staging and internal communications

  • Maintenance, cleaning and storage of children's program supplies

  • Coordinate events, planning, scheduling and shuttle guests to and from activities.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, i.e., answer basic adventures and events questions, direct guests and vendors to appropriate team members to provide best in class service

 


Qualifications

  • Must have experience equivalent to two (2) years in developing and executing programs and activities for children and youth.

  • Working Knowledge of supervision skills for children and youth ages 5 to 12 years old.

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with guests and staff members

  • Moderate physical effort. Must possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Communication and leadership skills needed to supervise and motivate a team.

  • Excellent organization skills.
